B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering (B.Tech AE) is a 4-year undergraduate course in agricultural studies and processes. The minimum eligibility for this course requires passing class 12th/ Higher Secondary Examination in Biology, Maths, and Chemistry. The mode of admission is through State/ National/ University Joint Entrance Examination or Pre Engineering Test.
Agricultural Engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with the study of agricultural process and technological practices in food processing and efficient production of food. Agriculture is the largest participant in the Indian Economy. It is needless to say that a career in Agriculture in India is nothing but bright and shining.
B. Tech AE graduates can find various Career Options and Jobs in sectors such as Agri-business firms, food processing, agricultural research and development firms, government sectors etc. The job profiles for graduates of this course can be a research scientist, lecturer, microbiologist etc. A fresh graduate of this course can expect an annual salary of between INR 1.5 – 2.5 Lacs which would only increase with experience in the field.

- Completion of Intermediate (12 years of school education) in Science stream.
- Admission to the course is mostly entrance exam based.
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology and/or Mathematics as the subjects of study.
- Minimum aggregate score of 50% at the 10+2 level
